Stock is two sets of cats (4 total). A single set of cats with an aftermarket H, especially with a catback, will be probably be louder. The catback is going to be the biggest difference in loudness going from stock.

Flowmaster 44's are plenty loud for most people. I originally had flowmasters welded in to the stock pipes. Saved about $100 total after labor costs (at that time) vs a catback. I have since switched to a catback because the stainless steel, larger exhaust pipe diameter, and sound (no more drone) were important to me. If I were to do it over again I would have skipped the weld-ins and just got the catback for the sound I wanted first (I am partial to borla):

I'd get something here (easy to install):

If I were you I would hold off on the h pipe if there are any plans for long tube headers.
