Explorer Intake Valve Cover?

Hey guys,

I thought i had stock valve covers but they will not fit under my explorer intake. the intake is from a 2000 explorer. there is picture of my valve coves attached. The covers wont clear a vacuum tree on the bottom of the upper intake.

Can someone tell me what the most cost effective option is? I wount like to finish this explorer swap and start my car this Saturday. Also, i have 1.7 roller rockers.

If you still have your stock upper use the vacuum tree from that and see if you have the clearance you need.

I went with the 3/8, but I have a different setup. Mine is a cobra intake with ford motorsport valve covers, which are taller than stock. I mainly needed the spacer so I could clear my throttle linkage.

They look like stockers to me. Mine fit under my exploder intake.

X2. I had no clearance issues either on my '87.

same here... those are stock VC.... i dont run any spacer

thanks for the responses. i got the 1 inch spacer and it fits fine now. the problem now is finding long enough bolts because the ones summit sent are long enough. i think i need 7 inch bolts.
