What I have for sale here is an early Mexican 302 block. This came out of a '69 Fairlane. There are a lot of rumors about these blocks, but what you can see for sure is the Mexican blocks are beefier in the main webbing than the late model roller 5.0L blocks, have blind main bolt holes instead of the through holes the roller blocks have, and the main caps are some of the biggest and strongest Ford ever put on a 2-bolt 302. If you're going to build a high performance engine with a factory 302 block, this is the one to do it with. I had planned to build a hot stroker 347 for my Fox with this, but have since decided to go 351 based.
Included with the block is the original crank, rods, pistons, flex plate, oil pan, and timing cover (which you'll need for the front-mount dipstick, these blocks were not set up for side-mount). I also have the cam and some other small parts for it, if you want those, too. This block is a VIRGIN 4.000" BORE, but does have some light surface rust on the cylinder walls, so it will likely need a 4.030" overbore.
I want $300 FIRM for it, which is what I paid and I think it's fair, considering the extras that some with it. Email or PM me if interested.
