Ford performance rear axle bushing question

OK so i replaced my rear axle bushings using ford performance M-4050-B and in the box are two C- Locks but I have searched for where they go but to no avail. Can someone tell me where they go AND Please don't tell me I just throw them out You don't need them, Ford put them in the box for a reason and I'd like to know the reason. I I bit the bullet and bought the Maximum Motorsports bushing removal tool and I have to say Money well spent, hook it up spray the piss out of the bushing cup with PB blaster let it sit over night and bang comes right out and installng new bushings it sets the depth of the new bushing right where it needs to be. I've attached a picture of the C-Locks. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

Those are the c-clips for the axle.

If you have removed and reinstalled your axles then you reused your old ones.

It’s strange they would put them in the box for the bushing and not in the rear end rebuild kit. I’ll be saving them for my rear end rebuild and swap

They're kinda soft. They probably figure if you're replacing the bushing for wear you might replace the c-clips too.

Yeah it’s a very strange pairing. The two parts aren’t really related. Pretty sure I have a new set somewhere as well from buying that set of bushings. Just keep them in mind if you ever pull your axles out so you can swap them.

Yes I will def keep them next winters project is get a 94-96 rear and build a 3L73 with 5 lug 31 spline and 4 way disc
