getting to vent area

The windshield, hood, and fenders need removed. THEN be prepared to drill out nearly 200 spot welds that surround the perimeter of the cowl. You will need to have the cowl welded back into place once you are done.

Not a fun job and fairly labor intensive to have done by a body shop. Luckily there are repair sections for the inner vent areas if they need replaced.

A search of this site should find other posts that include more specific directions on how to do it and links to pictures. 65-68' should be pretty much the same.

Geo, yours looks like mine before I fixed it...

Pazur, unless you need to repair the cowl underneth, not worth the trouble. But if you do need to repair it, this is the way. I had to find another cover as mine was so far gone it would have taken a ton of time to repair and probably looked like crap.
