got car running & now Check engine light

I have a 1995 Mustang Gt.Over the winter the care was put away and was not running. Battery was dead and some other things. I just out a new battery in the car and been taking out for a ride. The weather has been nice but after about 8 min or so the check engine light comes on. I dont know what the problems is. I had some place tell me before winter my egr was bad but I dont know if this the problem.

chk for codes, can get a scanner almost any parts store.

or use a paperclip or jumper wire. no need to guess at it, get the codes and go from there.
