If you've never seen this car flick, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's so much better than "Cannonball Run" that it's not even close. Yes the 427 Cobra is the real deal and if I remember right, the stunt drivers blew up the original 427 while testing it out at Willow Springs and the car got some obvious, but minor body damage during filming, but it was all repaired at the expense of the studio. Maybe Chepsk8 has some info on what chassis number car it was, since it was documented in one of the early SAAC magazines in the '70's. Jeez, I remember the '70's...crap I'm old...
