Hey folks, long time lurker here, have gained a lot of useful info over the years here!
I recently purchased my second 5.0, this one is an '89 Fox Hatch GT. It appears to be bone stock other than a few bolt ons including BBK shorty headers, Flowmaster cat-back, BBK 70mm throttle body, CAI, 3g alternator, and 4:10's.
My last SN95 5.0 I built with TFS 170's, stage 1 cam, systemax intake and supporting mods. I don't have the money right now for that set up again. There's a local guy that's selling me GT40P heads with Lunati dual springs and retainers installed and an Explorer upper and lower intake for $450. I consider it a good deal. I have a TFS stage 1 cam on my shelf and Comp 1:7 roller rockers as well (I know I will have to convert from pedestal to stud mount for the rockers).
The guy that sold me the car didn't know much about it and gave me a few loose parts with it including this BBK MAF, he said was calibrated for 29lb injectors so I assume he meant 24lb. I've read E7 heads have no marking on the top side of the head and I pulled my valve cover today and there were some markings I couldn't quite interpret. Before I purchase the GT40P heads, I would like to know what I've got. I'd also like to know what this MAF actually is, as I'll be running 24lb'rs. Please see pictures for the casting marks on the heads and markings on the MAF. If anyone could help me identify these I would greatly appreciate it.
