Hi! Despite my screen name, I have a 99 Cobra.
It idles perfectly fine without the A/C on but when I do turn on the A/C, the rpm's bounce between about 900 and 1100. I rarely use the A/C myself but I am trying to get the car sold right now, so it would be nice to square this problem away.
I have done a little bit of searching on stangnet... To me it sounds like the issue is a general A/C issue, perhaps a leak, low freon, etc. or perhaps the low pressure cycling switch.
Does this sound right? Other possibilities?
Thoughts on how much a dealership or local shop might charge for this sort of repair?
Anyone want to buy a 99 Cobra with about 59,000 miles?
