So I practically had a fairly new BBK Throttle body gave to me (paid 100 bucks for it) this past week from a buddy that took it off his car to sell the car. Before ya'll start saying I wasted my money and should have bought this or that, the guy I bought if from his uncle owns a shop and has a dyno this TB produced 12 extra HP on a bone stock 07 GT auto so something is producing power from stock. Now the problem. I came home followed the YouTube video and also the instruction sheet. Volt meter read 0.78 which I thought was low but proceeded on with the install. The volt meter read anywhere between 0.75 or 0.80 until I finally found a ground decent enough for it to settle at 0.78. I did everything by the video and instructions. The only thing I did different is I did disconnect the battery. Now my problem! I have a check engine light I checked the volt meter after install rotated the little spring made sure the butterflys open went over all my connections but still have a check engine light. Ive done the turn key off and on 4 times thing and still the engine light even turned my car completely on and let it idle it idled a little high 800RPM instead of 600 even idled smoother than before seemed like. Im almost tempted to unplug it replug my old TB up check the voltage and start all over or connecting my programmer and clearing the error codes. Can anyone give me some pointers or a solution to fix this? It would be appreciated Ive only got one more day to work on it before I gotta start driving it to work again. Thanks Guys!
