high speed fan not coming on?

Thanks Hissin.

We did some of the CCRM testing and have constant 12 volts at pins 3 and 4. What's real interesting is that when we pulled the CCRM out and jiggled it, you can hear something of decent size rattling around in there. Is it possible that relay worked itself loose and is also responsible for some of the other electrical issues in the car?

You can open the CCRM, just drill out the rivets on the corners. Replacing the relay, depends if you can find a replacement and can do some soldering. They're not designed to be replaced, just the whole unit.

Pins 3 and 4 are just battery feed to the common terminals for the EDF/HEDF relays. Gotta test the other stuff to see what's going on.

As noted, it sounds like a relay coil might have broken. If you narrow down which relay [coil] is acting up (based upon relay behavior), you could also just wire in a SPST/SPDT stand-alone relay that would circumvent the problem relay.

how much is it to replace the whole CCRM? would any junkyard cars possibly have it? I have heard ford windstars and escorts also use CCRMS.

I would rather just replace the whole unit, the corners of this one are rusted and im pretty sure its defective.
