how can i get my car to start the fist time

I usually have to turn my key over 2-3 times before i start my car. If i dont, it has to crank over a few times before it starts.

do you think i need a new fuel pump?

If the state of tune is good and such, you can almost bank on the pump...try this...get a 20.00 fuelrail gage....mount it up...watch the pressure on the gage...odds are, the minute you turn the key off, the pressure goes directly to 0...thats probably the problem...the pressure regulator in the pump...

mine did that same thing for years...put a Walbro 190 in...instant fix...shut it off and holds the pressure....thats the problem...you have to crank it over like 3 times to build pressure...then it'll light off...its fairly common on these...
