how to break in new ford racing clutch

what do i do the break in this clutch. i don't want to harm it. it now has 50 feet on the clutch,LOL.

Just take it easy driving it for a bit - no magic to it. You're just trying to get the clutch disc and pressure plate 'used' to each other.

Take a drive were theres heavy traffic ( stop and go kinda thing ) and just take it easy for a couple of days.

when I changed my clutch I waited 500 miles before pounding on it. The best way is in as many cycles (heat up then cool down) as possible.

You've gotta stick to that 500 mile rule of thumb. I have a friend who bought a CF duel friction and they told him specifically to do the 500 mile break in, so he took it out that weekend and raced....and burned it up. He sent it back to be replaced under warrantee and they denied him. They're no dumbies, they know what a burned clutch looks like that hasnt been broken in.

sure that's not a FRP clutch, but i wouldnt doubt it's the same with their warantee

I did my clutch and trany for 500 miles as recommended by the manufacturers, but you can bet your @ss i slammed the pee out of every gear after about 600 miles or so. i was a little long on the break in 'cause i was tight on cash and couldnt get my synchromesh.

What he said. Doesn't matter what brand you get, this is how it's done. You re-surfaced the flywheel, right?

Good man! Then you have to be extra carefull. No WOT at all for 500mi. in any gear at any rpm. Stop and go, nice and easy for a few days.
