I have a 94 mustang with 32 pound injectors.

It has been tuned with a custom chip. It was tuned with the stock maf.

I have been doing research and asking people, but i have been getting mixed

answers.

First off my maf sensor is bad. My question is, can i buy another stock maf and

just plug it in and problem solved? People on here and others have said that

because its been tuned with the chip, that it should calibrate it to how it was

tuned. Others say that i need to buy one that is recalibrated.

If i had the money i would just buy an aftermarket maf, but im short on cash and i

need my car to get back and forth to work?

THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME AND HELPING!

I'm not a tuning guru but I'll take a stab at this since time is of the essence for you.

If the car was chipped, the transfer curve should have been modified. That is, they use a stock MAF housing and electronics and the modification takes place 'further along'. So then the only maf you could use is another stock one. If you were to use a 'calibrated' maf (like Pro M, PMAS, a C&L sample tube, etc), then you'd have two calibrations occuring. Thus, using an aftermarket MAF cal'd for your 30# injectors would only work if you removed the first calibration (removed the chip).

Anyhow, if you have a stock F2 MAF right now, grab a spare (try to keep the sensor and housings as married pairs) and install it. The EEC should like this. Confirm it with your tuner if you can.

Good luck.
