Looking for opinions? I just purchased a 2001 Performance Red Cobra. I plan on making the usual upgrades, and probably adding a 100 shot of NOS. From what I have read, and heard, its not a good idea to supercharge the aluminum blocks.

Either way I go with upgrades, one upgrade I have to do in order to race at the local track is put a six point roll cage in the car. How much will that hurt the "resale" value of the car in a year or two...if I would decide to sell down the road? any thoughts? or would it improve the value? I was thinking if I could find a chrome roll bar...that would possibly make the value increase on the car...

I think, if anything, it would just narrow your target market. I can't imagine there are a lot of people that would specifically look for a cage equipped car. Many might shy away from the car because it had been raced.

So bottom line, it probably wouldn't really hurt or help the selling price. But it would likely take longer to find a buyer.
