Is it safe to drive the car if...

I'm installing a new ac system on my car.
I have a new compressor on the car with compressor oil
in it, with the belt on. I have disconected the electrical
plug from the AC unit and have not installed any of the lines
yet. Is it safe to drive the car without hurting the compressor.

Yea just dont turn the ac on, the clutch is disconnected so it is just acting as an extra free turning pulley. No harm done there.

Thanks, just didn't want to burn a new compressor up
before I had a chance to use it.
