Hello im in the market for a new fox and found this one, the owner says its starting to show sihns of blow- by ? what is this and how serious is it? and do you think its a good deal or may i be getting into a money pit? the pics of the car make it look really clean. heres the ad
1987 Ford Mustang GT. 137k miles, Black with gray int., Vortech T-trim, Bosch 42lb injectors, T-Rex pump, Crane 1.7 rockers, Accufab 70mm T/B, Kirban FPR, Pro-M MAF (MAF conversion), AFM power pipe, Griffin Aluminum rad, March A/C delete,MSD coil and 6AL, FMS 4.10 gears professionally installed, Pro 5.0 shifter, FMS M2300-K Cobra Brake kit, 17” GT wheels, Nitto NT555R on rear, Toyo T1-s on front, Edelbrock Performer manifold, Swanson Chip, BBK equal length headers, Eibach Drag Spring kit, Tokico Drag struts, M/M cc plates, M/M lca's, Dynomax exhaust. Car hasn’t been used much in the last year and is stored. I used it mostly for drag racing and it ran a best of 12.70 @113mph at Fontana. Runs pretty good, no smoke, but is has some minor oil leaks and has been sitting. I would say the motor is due for a rebuild or freshening it is starting to show signs of blow-by. Will include extra used 5.0 HO shortblock on a stand to rebuild. Car needs paint (not too bad , but starting to sun-fade). NO RUST, clean title, southern CA car. Power windows and mirrors, NO RADIO. I used it as a drag car, might be a little harsh for a daily driver, you be the judge. You couldn’t duplicate the car for this $$.
