I have been seeing red spots on the driveway floor for about a week....finally today I put the Cobra up on blocks to see a drip coming out of the diff.

I was thrilled.

Anyone heard of this? It looked like it was leaking from the seal.

Have you had your gears changed? If it is a leak from the seal, just pull the cover, and reseal it. Be sure to check for any premature gear wear, clean out all of the old fluid, reseal, refill, and be on your merry way. Should be an easy job to do. Just remember to use some high temp silicone. Lastly, I don't think the differential fluid should be red unless you are using redline or some other synthetic. Red is typically a tranny fluid color.

I'm watching it come right out of the seal. And it is red....looks just like tranny fluid. I'm not going to do it myself....the car has 5000 miles on it....2004 Cobra. IF I do it myself and f-it up then I am screwed.
