Lower Cylinder Head Temps w/AC and High Idle?

My 2018 GT idles at about 1000 when cold until oil get just to green, which is understandable. But if I shut it down for about ten minutes or more, I have a good minute or two at high idle even though it is still warm. Wouldn't be so bad with a manual because you can slip it, but with an auto, especially in reverse, it is a pain. Is this normal?
