now I always wondered this:

Doing donuts can't be good for the car, what is in harms way when doing do nuts besides tires and maybe the wheels hittin a curb.? (rear end? tranny? Control arms?)

Less stressful than you think because traction is not coming into play. A good driver will keep the RPMS reasonable and not over rev the car.

As you mentioned, side swiping a curb or something is about the worst thing that could happen.
