having some problems with newly acquired 1 owner 87 stang 2.3 lx.
Since I got her (50k original miles) she has a bad habit of stalling out at idle when warmed up to operating temp. This is accompanied by the engine idle pulsating, which at the low end causes the stall.The problem seems to stop after she has been hot for a while, yet the pulsating is still present at idle to some degree. Tach also hops around, jumps 1000 rpm back and forth, while while driving at steady speed. (Dont know if thats related) Any thoughts on what to try first?
Last question..... there are two vacuum lines (red/green) which go to a valve type plug, with two electrical connectors coming from them. Located near fire wall on passenger side in engine bay. I need to fix those lines as they are broken. What is the name of this part and what does it do?
