I have a 2000 V6 Mustang with about 101k miles. I've been experiencing this problem quite frequently now were when im traveling 55 mph and above my car bucks and I loose a little power and the check engine light flickers and then turns off. I have no idea whats wrong and there is also a cranking noise, idk if it's coming from the drive shaft or inside the engine but I'm clueless in what could be causing this problem.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Well, Ignition and Fuel.
When something like this happens you need to go down the check list and insure each item is within the maintenance interval.
Its always a good idea to put a $7.00 can of Seafoam into the gas tank to assist in diagnosis.
Is your fuel filter fairly new?
Are your spark plugs under 25k miles?
Is you pcv valve in operation condition, and are you burning oil?
Whats the condition of the plug wires and ignition coil connections?
Check your vacuum lines and tubing for obvious cracks or leaks.
Go ahead and perform a Seafoam treatment in the upper intake too. Youtube has "how to" if you need it.
