Just Recently Purchased An 1989 Mustang GT Convertible And A Wrecked Gt500 And Want To Swap Motors And I Want To Know If Anyone Has Any Suggestions For A AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION That’s Will Withstand The Power Of The Motor??

Why not use everything from the gt500?

Because The GT500 Is A Manual Transmission And Tge Foxbody Is An Automatic And I’d Like To Stay With The Automatic Trans.

A 6R80 from a current Mustang will bolt up and work fine. Aftermarket is supporting them. A c4 or Powerglide would also work.
The Mustang trans will need the electronics to operate it.
