Noise In Dashboard

I have a '08 GT and when I turn the key on or off there is a clicking sound like an old electric clock ,coming from the dash behind the speedometer and gauges. It last only the gauges on the dash moving to the correct positions (fuel, oil temp, etc )than goes away and everything is normal until It go to start it up again. It does it only when I first turn the key on, no matter if it is cold or just turn it off and on again. Anyone out there know what it might be?

Usually clicking noises in the dash are blend doors

I've already established, in another forum, that it's the fuel gauge stepper motor.
