OEM oil pump vs. high volume oil pump and stock oil pan

Should I just run a OEM oil pump (M-6600-M50) with my OEM oil pan on my 94 GT? The FRPP catalog says that the high volume oil pump "may require minor modification of oil pan". What oil pump, pickup, and pan do you run? How minor is this modification?

I'm also considering a FRPP remote oil cooler (M-6642-S101), and I thought that I heard that this needs a high volume oil pump. Does anyone know? Did the 94-95 Cobra's (or 95 Cobra R) come with a remote oil cooler? Was that with the same pump as the GT or a HV unit?

Thanks,
Rick

I wouldn't use a high volume pump unless necessary, puts more strain on the cam and distributor shaft. The 94/95 Cobras did have a remote oil cooler, not sure if they use the same pump as the GT (I'm betting they did).
