Opinions On Header To Clutch Cable Clearance.

Hey guys.

I'm getting around to looking at doing the exhaust. I'm running non-ceramic Hedman shorty headers (I did paint them with a ceramic paint and baked in oven though) and 2 1/2" exhaust. On the drivers side the collector exits very near the cable clutch so I did up a homemade heat shield using steel with hi-heat paint and a layer of anti-heat matting. Installed it between the header pipe and the clutch cable.

Think this will suffice or do you think I should angle the down pipe slightly away from this area (I'm not sure that would help much though)?

Also, does anyone know where to physically locate a h-pipe? I'm not sure where to locate it exactly.

I'm running a T5 transmission and am using the cable clutch setup.

if there is an air space between the pipe and the shield, and the shield and the cable you should be fine.

Thanks, there's not much on either side but yes there is a small gap there.
