painting axle tubes?

Today i was under the car, and i thought wow these rusty looking axle tubes look like garbage.. Has anybody herd of or have done themselve, painting the alxe tubes black?

Im sure it wouldnt be hard. Maybe it would be even better to get it powder coated...

just a simple sandblast and paint.. shouldnt be to hard.. them home depot sandblaster guns for 20 bucks and a bag of silica, 20 bucks in spray paint should take care of it.. them sand blasters are suck but worth there weight
