Pedal Position Sensor 2001 V6 Error

  • Sponsors (?)

To get the best help always post the full DTC codes. There are 1000's and they each have a story to tell.

My recommendation, check all of the fuses then look for shorts or chaffed spots on the wiring harness.

What Model year car are we dealing with?

My Ford reference says that a P0211 is an injector circuit failure to cylinder #11. Have you done a 12 cylinder conversion that you failed to mention?

Could it be P0121 TPS circuit performance problem? This is NOT a pedal position error. Do you see why it's important to post the DTC codes?

If so, the #1 thing to check is binding throttle linkage. Are the throttle return springs in place? There should be two. Does the throttle work smoothly opening/closing?

Since the DTC calls out the TPS and the TPS sensor itself is new, this most likely means a wiring problem. Look for bent, pushed pins. Are the pins clean? Any damage to the wiring harness?
