Quick EGR Question

I'm planning on doing the 2.3 Ranger header swap here soon. I got one from the junkyard a few months back, but unfortunately i cannot remember the year, or if it had the O2 sensor in the manifold or not (I'm not at home at the time). However, I did pull the whole unit. The header, EGR tube and the EGR itself. can I just swap them all out as one unit so the EGR tube will mate? Or will the EGR not work from the Ranger to the Mustang?

My theory is that I'm not throwing ANY codes at all, so I would assume my EGR is functioning properly. Why ruin a system that's working. I've read reviews across the board about whether or not it's beneficial to delete the EGR, or even just block it off with a plate, but it's never mentioned whether or not you throw a code if it's deleted.

So that's my main question, will the EGR setup bolt directly in on my mustang, from a Ranger?

Any insight is appreciated!
