Hey guys!
My 02 GT has been getting this ringing noise that seems to be coming from the exhaust tips and it sometimes stutters to start (It hasn't failed to start, and it rarely happens) and of all that wasn't bad enough my gas gauge shows that I have 3 quarters of a tank when it's completely full. Not sure if all of that is related or not, but still.
To better describe the sound, it's like when your ears are ringing from hearing something too loud. The sound gets louder upon acceleration and then quiets back down afterwards AND it's louder on a cold start.
As for the stuttering, when it does do it, it lasts for at least a second or two before it cranks. And the gas gauge just recently started doing this.
I have a few ideas of what I think it could be, but I'm hoping more so that it isn't the fuel pump. I'm getting it checked out at the Ford dealership tomorrow so I'll let everyone know what they say just in case someone comes across the thread with the same issue.
