Smoking

Hey guys-

Last week I picked up a 2002 gt with 35k miles on it. Anyway, driving home today I noticed a smell of smoke and when i got it home, I noticed that there was smoke coming from under the hood. Long story short, i popped the hood and the bottom left most accessory is smoking. Does anyone know what item that it??? I think it might be apart of the Air Conditioning system becasue I have been having problems with it...

I just got this think and this is not looking good already, the wife is going to kill me

thats the ac compressor.
dont klnow much about it or what would make it smoke.

Thanks for the response, thats what i figured it was....im not sure why it was smoking either, i think it might have been burning something
