So my SPEC 3 died...I think

A little background:

I have about 45 passes on my SPEC 3 clutch, and about 9000 miles of mixed street/highway. My 60' times aren't that spectacular -in the 1.7-1.8's typically. I'm making 455 rwhp via a Vortech S-trim and have 4.10 gears.

After my 2nd pass today, the problem arose. Funny thing is, that everything was normal for that 2nd pass. I didn't smell any clutch burning, car ran great, etc. After the pass, the clutch slips bad from a standing start-even if I accelerate very slowly with light gas. I hear a loud screetching sound, then it finally grabs and the car moves. I managed to carefully limp my way home from the track. I didn't notice it slipping in 2nd, 3rd, etc, but I wasn't pushing it either.

I know that SPEC 3 can handle a lot more power than I'm putting out, and I find it hard to believe that I could have worn it out already. Are there any other things that can cause these symptoms?
