#$%^&^ Stripped Screws

Connector meltdown is a fairly common occurrence on GTs especially with the current draw from the headlights and foglights being on the same circuit. Replacement connectors are inexpensive and can also be found at the junkyard. Just pull one off of an LX (less likely to have a melted connector). If you look through the front of the connector you can see the little retaining tabs that hold the wires in. Pressing on the tabs with a small screwdriver will release the wires so that you can pull them out the back of the connector. After you get a replacement connector swap the wires out one by one. It only takes a couple of minutes.
