Hey everyone.
I have a 2007 with just over 12k miles.
A week ago, my tachometer started making a whirring/ticking sound on startup (similar to the sound the gauges make when you turn the key to accessory or when you shut off the engine -- only slightly louder).
Now the tachometer works fine, and the only time it's this loud is on startup (and quite honestly, it isn't even that loud -- I doubt you could hear it from the passenger seat).
My question is, is it normal for a tach (or any other gauges) to become noisier as the car gets older?
