I just got back from Lucedale MS at JMS Chips and had car dyno tuned to a dissapointing but great tune of 358 RWHP.

I have Ecam 303 Trick Flow upper lower Intake track heat 75 MM mass air
Aluminum dual core radiator and trans cooler
24lb injectors
PRO ONE Aluminum Heads 2.02 1.60
275 Drag radials by NITTO 555R
Custom AODE 2600 Stall 9" TQ 700HP Rated Trans
(gone through 3 PA's already)
Shorty headers x pipe MSD Everything
Aluminum Drive shaft
3:55 Gears
High flow oil, Fuel Etc.Flowmasters, Eibach Springs
306 motor fresh 9.5 compression
Powerdyne Supercharger 9lb Pulley (right)
Purge valve installed (6 rib Belt)

Johnson Motorsports told me Powerdyne is good reliable supercharger just doesn't make big power and they have never seen one make over 7lb of boost which mine makes 5-6lb with 9lb Pulley.

Anyway I pulled off 4 passes and found 1 big mistake but still need help with the rest.

1st pass after driving off of street was:
2.037 60'
5.473 330'
10.791 1000'
12.864 1/4
111.68 mph (Happy)

after this run I put 3 gallons of 114 race gas in tank with maybe 5 gallons of 92 already in.

times went down:
2.021 60' then 2.153 then 2.011
5.499 330' 5.694 5.478
8.384 1/8 8.587 8.352
86.12 mph 86.00 86.31
10.909 1000' 11.112 10.872
13.037 1/4 13.236 12.993
108.68 mph 108.87 109.02

So obviously race gas actually hurt performance but I did 3 different burnouts trying to get better launch:
1st just got water off tires minimal burnout
2nd heavy burnout
3rd medium burnout
4th very heavy burnout

If you didnt tune it for race gas, I doubt it would help anything, unless you ran more timing after pouring it in...

The times look decent, but definately need improvement. I would say what I do to most people for their first times out, just get back, practice and find out what the car likes. You can easily drop half a second with practice and patience.

Thanks I will practice 4 sure I am sure you are right about race gas

I have been told to get Drag radials good and hot for best traction from some and minimal burnout at track. Anyone know for sure?

Since i have auto matic 2600 Stall should any suggestions on launching?

I do not have trans break obviously.

Heat the tires good. Sit at the stage at idle and when its time to go hammer it. This will flash the converter and shock the tires.

Also a question...

was this a Mustang Dyno or Dynojet. A MD will read much lower, but more accurate than a DJ. Also having a converter will hurt the power output, as well as the auto and rear gear. All these things make your dyno numbers look lower, but will make your track times much better. Not to be worried about the dyno numbers, they dont mean much.

With the auto, lower the tire pressure in the DRs, heat them up a decent amount (get them spinning and hold them there till they start to grab) and come out however your car likes to be launched (flashing it or stalling it). DRs should be easier to hook on an auto than a stick car!

Our in-house Chassis Dyno is a Mustang Chassis Dyno MD-1750-DE www.jmschip.com

so best not to bring rpm's up just time lights at idle and punch it for best 60 ft times...is that the consensus?

This is very helpful thank you guys.

Oh by the way before last run dropped pressure to 15lbs
