It's my understanding that II flywheels are worth the vehicle's weight in gold since they're near impossible to find now. As far as the balance, I'm not sure if they're 28.2 or not, all I've ever heard of was 28. So I don't know if people were just dropping the .2 ounce or if they're actually a straight 28 ounce imbalance. @74stang2togo might be able to help with the imbalance issue? As for actually getting one, I think your best bet might be Ebay at this point unless someone knows something that I don't.

Automatic stuff but you get the idea

I thought this picture useful.
141 tooth M2 Flex plate by 1966 ~ 289 ~ 157 tooth flex plate. Both 6 bolt bell housing.
Notice how starter is tucked in on smaller block plate.

Look close for part numbers. Bell~BE-D5ZP-7976-AA, Block Plate~D5ZE-6A373-AB, Flex plate D5ZZ-6375-A (this one hard to read)
Also no '6 bolt hole' ring under Flex plate mounting bolts like on 65-66 mustangs with C4

Weird but I don't have a picture of the flywheel. I have plenty of video though from the clutch job last spring.

Hey Isegrim
Post some fresh pics of that purple beauty.:D:p;)

A Flywheel option is available with the Mustang 2 scatter shield from Quick time and a 157 tooth fly wheel giving you more options of using the various10.5 clutch plates out there.
Kind of expensive but better than non existent.:coff:

Hello people ... thanks for the comments and help.
@ LILCBRA...I saw your video and I noticed that I have the flywheel ,but a few teeth are damaged:(

@2Blue2 ...thanks for the pictures but i am installing a t5 Trans.
I have 2 problems:
I already have the headman headers and the original bellhous(and no room for a bigger bellhous)... and the clutch lying there.
the flywheel at rockauto is not the right size.
restoring the MII is really a challenge!
Pictures are coming:)

@74stang2togo[email protected] yes that's right there are 148 teeth and 9.5 inches in size.

I had the same problem. There is a firm that takes the Napa flywheel and replaces the weight to produce the correct weight flywheel for the II. I had mine made by the last winter. I’ll find the information tomorrow and post it.

Art Carr’s California Performance Transmission is where I ordered my custom 141 tooth 50 oz flywheel.
I thought they only did automatic trans flex plates not manual trans flywheels!?!
