I am going to be replacing my valve seals and springs and I would like to do it with the heads on the car. My springs have an inner and outer spring. I wanted to know if anybody has done this before. I have stud rockers so I was going to try and use a chevy spring compresser, and I will be able to fill the cylinder with compressed air. I am going to try to break the keepers loose with a socket and hammer, but I have never done that with the heads still on the car before, will it work. Any ideas would be great.

Shouldn't be a problem. We do lots of them. We rigged up a leakdown tester to put air in the cylinder. Used a spring compressor that attatches to the rocker stud and tap the keepers with a hammer and they will useually come right off! Good luck :nice:
