Fox What differential is this?

I'm starting a 5 lug conversion on my fox and went to the junkyard to get an axle out of an 83 Ranger. The differential didn't really look like a 7.5 or an 8.8. Anyone know what this is and if I can use the axle? I tried searching for the stamping on the side (E27W-AA) but couldn't find anything.

Yeah but neither of those match the differential in the picture?

8 bolt. It looks like a 6.75 used in old Pintos, Fairlanes, Falcons. As far as the axle shaft, maybe someone can share length dimensions to help you...

Tried searching. Not many 8 bolt rears. It's not the Ford 6.75 or 7.25 axle

I guess it's safe to assume I can't use the axle then haha

Early Rangers had a 6.7” with a 3.08 or

My research came up with 6.7 Sterling. It was on early Rangers, Foxes, Capri, Mustang II. The tag would read 67S and not 675. It was know as being part of the “poverty” pack as it was used on base models with 2 liter engines etc.

I’m not sure those axle shafts would have c clips in the same position or how they are installed. Probably best to keep looking.
