nah the 100 bucks is for the HD spring upgrade, not sure what he charges for the bigger valves.RSW was running in the high 12's with stock cam and E7's with bigger valves.timewarped1972 said:seems like i saw on thumpers web site he offers that option on his thumper heads for an extra 100 bucks or something..........larger valves. you definatly would wanna have the heads ported with them as i don't think they do any good unless the heads have been ported.....sometimes larger valves acutally cause valve shrouding, which is where the larger valve can actually inhibit flow......

I dont feel like trying to find some gt40, which will probably need to be freshened up and cost more.
I got stockers laying here. I think it would be a good expierence, learn to port, and should be fun.
How much money think it will cost me?
i would plan on replacing all the seals and stuff, new springs (for a Bcam)
get a 3 angle and just try and port them up myself, and gasket match my stock intake to them.

They still have the exhaust bumps and the same small ports they had from the factory. Mine have been cerdi cut, and a valve job as well as 1.84/1.54 valves. If mine have inhibited flow... Id love to go back to stock heads and see if it wont go 12.3s!
PS: I went mid 12s with these heads, STOCK cam, STOCK bottem end, STOCK suspension, on 3.73s with just bolt ons otherwise!
I LOVE when people give information out without prior knowledge. Sure the money is better spent on aftermarket heads, but I wouldnt mind running a car with out of the box iron GT-40s, stock cam and bolt ons, to see how well my "waste of money" E7s stack up!
Maybe I should port them, add some suspension and a decent cam... Who knows what kind of times the car might run?
Your best bet is to talk to a decent machine guy, as Im sure you dont have a valve spring compressor, and the equipment to perform this at home!
