I'm thinking it's a 99-04 car. But someone swapped out the VIN from a '94 (for cheaper insurance & to be emissions exempt). I could be wrong .....

I had thought about doing that to my vert.. it'd be cool having a 99-04 looking car with a 5.0.. but iots a good thing Im over that stage

The car could be stolen and someone swapped out the vinplate.I just cant see how someone could possibly do a swap like that and not want like 30grand.Everything seems fishy on this car.I buy it for a grand though

Maybe someone wil remember this but a company named Dugan Mustang or Dugan Racing or something like that did the same thing a few years back. The company changed names but did and still does have a full page ad in the mustang mags. Their catalog was called "The Mustang Bible". I know some of you have heard of them.
Anyways when the new edge mustang came out they took a 94-98 mustang and put on all the newer sheetmetal, its the same car, just some different mounting points but for the most part the same. They had a larger collision & repair center so they had the expertise to do the conversion. Looked sweet and I think it was just something either a customer wanted or they did to promote their company. I don't think they showed this in their ads but there was some pics and write up in their catalog. I think their car was red though not silver.
Let me know if anyone has a clue what I am talking about, but I think that is what was done here.

I am not saying that that was what was done to the car but stating that it can and has been done. But I am with you guys, WHY?
A 94 Cobra will be cheaper to insure than say a 02 Mustang GT. Stay far away from cars that seem fishy or might have had their vins swapped. I don't know the Mod motors well at all. But that really does look like a V6 to me. Does anyone else see the same? There is enough room between the accessories and the radiator for a secondary trunk - the engine sits so far back. Kinda looks like its missing 2 cylinders.GRGT1994 said:
