what tire size do i need for my front wheels?

hi, i have an 87 mustang gt. i have weld prostar 15x6 that im going to put in the front. What tire size will fit that rim? i know the car will be running mid to low 11's. its going to be a street/strip car. any help is appreciated. thanks

some guy said in a post about a week ago that tires should be the width of the rim, plus 1 inch. 25 mm in an inch...6x25=150 + 25 = 175, so I suppose a 175 series. So like, 175/60R15, etc. I have 195/60R15's on my 6.5" draglites. I don't know if you know how tire sizes work, but the 2nd number (60 in this case) is the percentage of the section width that the sidewall is..so basically, a smaller percentage=smaller sidewall

to maintain near stock tire height you'd want a 185/80/15.
