I've got a weird coolant leak on my '90 5.0. It's a steady stream, I was adding a gallon of water every 25 miles when it started, during a move from California to Washington, yeah, that was fun!
It's on the hard tube going under the EGR plate back to the hoses that go into the heater core. The leak is straight down onto the lower intake manifold, where the tube "T"s for a hose to attach and go up to the EGR plate. Definitely not a hose it's a hole in the tube. The tube appears to be attached to another tube that runs parallel and attaches to the other heater core hose in the back.
So, what's this tube called and does it come apart from the other tube? Anybody ever had this problem and have any advice as to how to fix it?
205,000 miles without any major overhauls. Yet.
