What kind of setup do you need for a wheels up launch at the track?

Does it have to be a 6k rpm launch?
Can it be done with Drag radials?
Do you need to have a lighter k member and skinny's up front?
31 spline and welded boxes
T56 tranny? or will stock cut it?
what kind of tq #'s are needed?

Have any of you done a wheels up launch with a 99' up stang? What was it like your first time?

ive got a buddy with a cobra that runs 10.5'' slicks out back. he dynoed at 465/ 508 and he pulls the drivers side wheel about 8 inches. launches around 4500

i doubt you will pull the tire with a t56 tranny. First gear is to low and long. I've gotten them up a litte. Eibach drag launch kit and a mini battery up front. 31 spline axles, detroit true trac, 26x10.5 et streets and 6300 rpm launch
