So I got a Bcam on my car. My brother got it for me actually.

Anyhow. I saw the 2004 Ford Racing Catalog.

Ecam is started as being 50 state street legal.
Bcam is not.

What gives. Ecam has greater lift. .498 agains .480 from Bcam I belieave.

the b-cam has more duration and I believe a more aggresive LCA. So at idle there will be more valve overlap which means more raw fuel getting tossed out the back and exponentially higher hydro carbons as a result. My cars hydro carbons are through the roof. where 150 is california state legal my lovely e cammed windsor puts out a mere 6000... I think they would just shoot me and be done. Thank god for no emmisions laws up here.

its the duration and LCA as stated above, very good experience above. I Ran my h/c/i no emission vert to see what it would do and it was amazing, I was "out of range" on hydrocarbons, hehe.

But, lucky me, it passed as a ULEV !! Amazing! :p

I used to run a B cam back in the day, and it's a pretty good cam, and idles kick @$$, but it's that choppiness that kills those emissions. An I look at it this way, as long as one of my cars is emissions friendly, that should make up for my Mustang. RIGHT?!?! :p
