I've got the stock sound system in my '00; it's terrible, yes I know! I'd like to add speakers adjacent to the door mirrors like the newer, more expensive packages have. How do they mount and would they be compatible with my system? Is it even possible to just get those two speakers from Ford, or do they make you buy the entire Mach sound package?
I'm happy with the quality of sound I receive (I mainly listen to the radio so it doesn't really matter too much), but I, as well as passengers, find it difficult to hear in the passenger's seat; thus the desire for the higher up speakers.
