thanks for the replys ... I just ordered a set of the valve cover gaskets mentioned above . The wing is staying , my plans are to two tone the car black up top and jalepeno red ( my dads favorite color ) from the body line just above the door handle ( similar to 25ths paint design ) seperated by a gunmetal stripe and 10th anniversary replica wheels . I think this car might be pretty rare as it is a GT vert with an automatic and manual windows and doors .

I think it looks pretty dang good in its current paint scheme. Then again, I'm a little biased, because it looks a bit like the one I had...

It is not without it's problems. But nothing too major . It runs and shifts good. Valve cover on the driver side is leaking , decklid and drivers side door have some rust and it needs a top . Has the cloth grey Halo seats and grey interior are in pretty decent shape . Previous owner had straight pipes from the factory headers back . I just scored Mac shorties and x pipe from local guy on craigslist for 150$ to replace that garbage . Cheapest I have found a decklid around here is 125 and I can not find the correct ( chrome tips) tailpipes anywhere without buying a whole kit ... I have an extra set of flowmasters I had planned on using . Oh yea it needs a tune up and brakes ... normal stuff when buying a used vehicle . Overall I am really happy with it and can;t wait to see my dads face when we surprise him with it.

Valve cover stud kit??? That sounds like a HUGE help!

Ever located the valve cover gaskets on the head perfectly the first time or do you just keep lifting the valve cover on and off while you try to get the gasket to center right? If so, then you don't have studs. Changing the gaskets is as easy as setting the gasket over the preinstalled studs and bolting on the valve cover. No more annoying centering issues. Now, if you had a set you would ask such a question. :nonono:

What is it exactly you are trying to say here? He said it would be a huge help to have a valve cover stud kit...and I agree! It can be a PITA to get the gaskets aligned and studs would be a very welcome addition!! I hadn't heard of or seen such a thing before...and 25th's reaction was one of the same...kind of like a "whoa there is such a thing? nice!" type of reaction...

You practically stole that car for $900. Around my area, that car would've fetched about 4 grand. Nice score.

4 grand?!?! I'm in Jersey, the capital of over-priced fox Mustangs, and that car would have been probably somewhere around 2k but nowhere near 4...and it seems the only way I can find a reasonably priced fox on Craigslist is if i extend my search into PA...4 grand can get you a pretty dern nice daily driver fox.

You can read his post as sarcasm or excitement. I guess it really comes down to if your an optimist or pessimist. This is why i like the "smiles" to give posts intent. :nice:
