Love my Stang, but don't know how you guys who drive them daily do it

agree, cant let the 02 sit in parking lots....dont want to think about door dings. i dont even want them in the 98...the paint is flawless believe it or not. im going to have to park away from other drivers.:nonono:

I DD my '03 now and my '93 5.0 was my first car which I DD'd for 5 years. I love DDing mustangs. light and agile, easy to park, decent gas mileage, and way better performance than 90% of the cars on the road. When i need something big moved, i call my mom and use her expedition. Done deal.

I believe it because mine is also. when I do drive it to work, I only park where no door ding is even possible. It hasn't got a single flaw in almost nine years...ain't gonna start now. I sacrifice an '08 hyundai for that duty. :D

It is and I DD my Mustangs for about 6 years but it gets old fast driving a manual during rush hour, in the DC/Metro area.

Plus having 400 hp is such a tease in such heavy traffic. Shoot, my '02 Bolt-on and geared GT was fun as hell but it sucked after a while because of all the damn traffic. It's a little better though during the summer however.

the clutch is the only thing that keeps me sane in traffic ;) ...I spend almost 1.5 hours driving 45 miles yesterday (and the first and last 15 or was was at full freeway speeds)...it was only about 100* outside

I get that a heavily modded Mustang stops being practical, I had to (mostly) stop DDing my 66 when I put in the 351 Cleveland, but for the most part a Mustang is a daily driver kinda car :flag:

I use mine as a DD, but I wish I didn't have to. Can't even afford a clunker right now...besides, I drive 35 miles one way to work everyday and I'd need something better than a clunker for dependability. I love driving the Mustang, but I wish I could have a DD so it would last longer. Today I found another ding in it...and it just worries me that it will be old very quickly from driving it everyday. I want it to last because I love the car.....and being I am close to retirement age, I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford another one.

I DD mine because it's my only car. I do at times trade a buddy for his Yaris if I going to be doing a lot of miles to save money on gas. I get about 19mpg in the stang and 36 in the Yaris. I hate that it's stock still though. I got spoiled when I had an SRT4, average 23mpg and make about 500whp was nice. But I am in the middle of building the stang up from the back to the front. Figure because of money should take about 2 years to finish it off and I will still DD it and should be able to get low 10's high 9's with it. Auto transmission is nice to have as well a good break for my bad left knee
