These will probably be the last pics of my car. I think they will end up totaling it, what do you guys think?

Depends on value. The damage doesn't look bad at all. Honestly if they total it, buy it back and fix it your self as a side job. That car could be fixed for a few k.

As for the insurance doing it. If you really want the car back you can ask them to fix it. They are willing to do it at or above bluebook, depending on insurance company.

By the way, what happened to cause damage on all those different locations? Did someone take a bat to your car?

Its totalled or it should be totalled (former insurance adjuster here)

Front and rear crunch with what appears to be a wrinkle just in front/top of the right rear tire is a bad sign. Left QP is bent as well. I see at least $5K in damage just from the outside photos.

Yeah, they are going to total it. Sorry to see that man. You've put a ton of time and effort into getting that car to where it is.

On a side note, you should consider buying it back from the ins and swapping the drivetrain into a foxbody coupe. That would be a pretty quick car right there!

Hey dude, I feel your pain. If you're interested, you can have all of the old body parts coming off of my car because I'm switching to 03/04 cobra panels. I have a front bumper, rear bumper, trunk lid and spoiler, and GT hood with scoop, I even have the GT side skirts. They're even already red. I could sell them, but I'd rather see you get your baby back on the road. PM me if interested. :nice:

I think I might go with a manual 2011 V6 with the 3.31 gears. I know I can't believe I said V6. I know stock the new V6 puts down 260rwhp and 253rwtq. I figure with a 93 OCT tune and CAI they should be good for 280rwhp and 270+rwtq. Heck that is only 13rwhp off from my car with everything I did to it. Also I get a discount on new Fords from work plus my buddy is the sales manager at one of the local ford dealers. I also found a nice 2005 GT with 33k on it for $18k but for not much more I could have the 2011 v6 with better handling, better transmission, better interior, much better gas mileage and the same amount of HP.

The pictures make me cringe. Sorry for your loss.

The 2011 v6 is amazing. Saw a video of one the other day just barely losing to a 2010 GT, both stock. The interior is way better than our years.

It'll be close. I would say that the amount of damage (based solely on the pics) is comparable to the damage my car sustained when I wrecked. I came close to being totalled, but it wasn't.

Yeah it will probably be totaled, but looks fixable.
Does it still start, run and drive? Looks like it would to me, except maybe the rear bumper draging on the ground.

I think it will start. The fuel cut of was triggered during the accident. Transmission seems good and the breaks seem good. If she does get fixed I'm going wingless and removing the side scoops.

Sorry to hear this man =[ Keep your head up and get back in another v8.
You will miss the great tone a v8 can put out. I know the new v6's have a better sounding exhaust, but still.. not a v8 tone.

Good luck. I know your pain .. i lost my 4.6L also.

Ouch... I believe that would qualify for being totaled.

Just the front or rear damage would be a much easier fix, but when the car gets pancaked like that it's much easier to sustain frame damage. The wrinkled quarter is bad (as said), and in the next to last picture, it actually looks like the rocker panel is bowing outwards slightly, although that may just be the angle of the picture.

Best of luck with it... it's a nice car, but I don't know if I'd personally want it back after that unless you got really lucky and the frame is still straight or very minimally damaged.

Yeah I agree right now I actually don't want it back. Even if she got fixed I don't think she would be 100% perfect. I already have a 2011 speced out. As long as I get 8500+ for my car I will be going with a 2011 stang.

I need to get out of my mustang. As sad as it is to see your car all torn up like that, I need some bozo to do that kind of damage to my car. I need something that can handle the snow. Only 1-2 months before it starts falling. I need to drive it more to improve my chances.

Sorry about your car. Do not get it back/fixed. I would never get a car repaired if I didn't have to.
