Turbo Npi 10.53@131

Oh, BTW, do you have any magazines lined up or have you contacted them? I think your car would do well in MM&FF or 5.0 with a nice spread detailing all of your accomplishments. You have the pics, videos, and timeslips to back it all up, and on top of that, the car looks fantastic. Just a thought.

+1. With a 2000 foot DA and still some boost left, there's a LOT more ET and MPH in that setup. I'm not super familiar with what all you old guys (Johnny Langton, Bill Putnam, etc.) did on the NPIs a decade ago, but I'm gonna venture a guess that this is getting on up there pretty good.

Bill Pioneered the Bolt On PI world, along with KenB and some other guys. Almost all of them are gone. JL didn't have a mustang(but NPI), which was even more impressive.

I think that the 2v 4.6 is the most overlooked muscle/sports car of the last 15-20 years. And rightfully so in all honesty, as I'm sure you can attest to Will, since you are a realist. The cars are just dogs stock. To take a mid 14-low 15 second car(NPI) and turn it in to a low 10 or 9 second car is awesome. Especially if you can drive it down the street, etc.

I loved my first of 3 NPI mustangs. Did headswaps on 2 of them, and one was a blast. But in reality, even running 13.1's 12 years ago, I wasn't keeping up with LS1's. To see this is just great. :flag:

Yep, couldn't agree more. With the 2V 4.6 cars getting cheap, I wonder if they'll see a strong comeback. All things considered they're actually great go-fast platforms. The engine (with forged internals) is good for well over 600 rwhp, the 8.8 rear is solid, the car is not that heavy, and overall parts are cheap relative to the general automotive aftermarket.

Oh, and if it hasn't crossed your mind yet, I'd invest in a cage. A wreck at those speeds without a cage could be very, very bad.

i dont think i will ever cage the car, since its 90% street car, but on my first pass (10.87@131) the ticket guy told me " you need to slow it down, but have fun" i went 10.53 the next pass :p
