i disagree, i think the richmond five speed is the best. it fits the mustang trans tunnel better, and is a stronger trans, and if you are really worried about not having an overdrive, you can select your gear ratios when you buy the trans;

and before you complain about no overdrive, ponder this, most of us are traction limited to begin with, and we are running fairly light weight cars, thus we really dont need an overall first gear ratio of 12-14:1, first gear ratio x final drive ratio. we need something more like 9.75-10.5:1. a 2.80 final drive with a 3.33 first gear does quite nicely thank you. and dont forget that most overdrives are somewhat delicate and cant handle power shifting, and since the richmond is direct drive in top gear, it can handle a power shift. and you are never going to use the top speed capability of your overdrive trans, nor the richmond either, so that doesnt matter, and at 65-80mph fuel economy will be about the same.
